We are so happy to have another year to step into with a whole new adventure ahead of us. 

2025 brought us so many blessings and as we all know a fair bit of drought in our local area. 
Josie was able to have her husband help run a good drip system in her garden in certain areas but sprinkler systems were running steady and always needing moved. Thank goodness she was able to power through as many in our area had lots of failed gardens or some were even hit with frost throughout summer.  
Hot weather and no A/C meant my house was hot! A good 27+ after baking sourdough all day for the Farmers Market each Friday. We were blessed with cooler nights which would help to cool things off a touch. 
Besides the hot summer we had a great, successful 2026 farmers market year and were able to put our store ideas into action  in October. 
Corrie and Brad Van Metre are great business owners of the Paradise Hill Ranch and Western Wear and were on board (after a tiny bit of persuading to have fresh baking) to let us reno their upstairs for us to open what is now A & J Market Shop. 
After a long stretch of painting, setting up the website, moving vendors in, adding in some new walls and constructing shelving units we were ready for opening day on November 25th, 2025. This was a huge step and a learning curve to iron out a few things but we feel we are ready for all 2026 can throw at us now!

We have big ideas and dreams for our little store and can’t wait to continue on building, growing and learning. The amazing vendors that keep joining our store all bring to the table a passion like no other for the products they make and you can tell with every, tiny detail that is put into their work. We are so lucky to be able to help these home based businesses, like ourselves, market, sell and distribute their products on a way that is more flexible for them. 
Can’t wait to continue blogging here and there and sharing so much more fun about our weekly store happenings.
